About him
Perhaps I should immediately say I am chronically incapable of acting my age. Siince being widowed eight years ago I have joined 'U3A' and go to sessions of ballroom and sequence dancing and groups for watercolour painting.I have had three paintings published in 'Paint', the magazine of the S.A.A (Society for All Artists) and my other work is on their website. I also regularly go to karaoke (I'm still performing.) In the past I have been closely involved with running a folksong club and acting regularly with a large Amdram group in the midlands. Retired a long way from my roots (Tees-side) and enjoy the scenery down here -for photography and artwork. I have no interest in watching sport: I'd rather spend time with friends at the theatre, out for a walk or a pub quiz. Despite seeming 'academic' - for most of my career I was Head of Maths in Secondary Schools in Solihull, and I still compose mathematical puzzles for publication - I'm generally pretty lowbrow. Can't stand Opera and I listen to pop (Pirate FM) rather than classical music. Sing Buddy Holly, Bobby Vee, Sinatra, Mick Jagger, Dire Straits (etc.!) at the Karaoke. Generally I'm busy and basically happy but I think sharing adds to enjoyment. Sense of humour - wide, sometimes silly, generally based on wordplay. I can find humour in most situations Essentially I'd like to find a partner to dance with, maybe romance with, and generally enjoy life. Keyword: ZEST! I've left nothing out, so there's no mystery to intrigue anyone. Ah well Blame my compulsive communication drive.

I'm looking for a similar creative communicator with a lively approach to life and what it offers. Perhaps what I've already said indicates that often I get bored with people near my age who seem already to have become 'old fogies'! (I do realise that perhaps that may be something we all have in common.) Now that I've started to dance again it would be great to find a lady with grace & style. I'm no Fred so she doesn't have to be Ginger, but hopefully would enjoy 'glamming up and stepping out.' . . and finally obviously someone who is not afraid to match my enthusiasms, although perhaps with other different enthusiasms of their own.
