About him
Who am I? Who am I to judge? Others say I'm a nice guy, thoughtful, loving, optimistic, creative, adaptable, sociable, quiet, capable, resourceful, resilient, honest, with no 'side'. I like meeting people, like conversation, go to the pub for company rather than for the drink. I smile a lot - it makes the world a better place.
Perhaps I'm a 'wild man from the west'? :-) Not really a town person any more. A seafarer for much of my life, craftsman, writer and poet of sorts, tyro thespian - but I am much nearer scientist than artist.
I still cruise to quiet anchorages when the weather is right in my (small and fast) boat. No luxury now, but days in beautiful anchorages, on wild islands, and sometimes nights under canvas and stars. I would love to share that beauty with a like mind once again. I like a natural world - wildlife, tranquility, wild places - and these are so much better shared. I like the company of artists and craftsmen - and craftsladies - and scientists, and like beautiful things and inquiring minds.
I read a fair amount and watch TV too, but the book goes down and the TV goes off if there's an interesting person to talk with and share life's experiences, for every conversation can be a wonderful voyage of discovery. And if the chemistry is right, I like passion too. But companionship and the sharing of lifes delights are as important. I would so like to fall in love again. :-)

I like creative, artistic people, people who think independently, who like to know how the world works, who are inquisitive and thoughtful and like to learn more. I'm looking for someone who loves this wild and beautiful part of the world, likes wildlife, walking, the sea, boats and knows these things are best when shared. A lady who might enjoy the wind in her hair, maybe spray on her face, perhaps nights under canvas in sheltered island bays. Someone who enjoys quiet places, just the occasional trip to the city lights, conversation, reading, good food, cosy nights in and, with the right person, cuddles, passion etc. A warm, loving and sensuous person to enjoy the world with.
