About him
I am easy to get on with. I am emotionally aware; at least I know where most of my baggage is. To paraphrase Socrates "the life without unexamined baggage is not worth living “. I don't take myself too seriously. I value my space and equally respect other people's space. I like to explore and share new experiences with a partner including alternative quests.
Since retiring I have done a full time visual arts course. Loved to discover my artistic creativity. Now developing my pottery skills and have my own studio at home.
I am a good listener and, true, like to be listened to as well. I am pretty handy in the house and garden. Trying to keep fit; go to the gym a couple of times per week. I do like my creature comforts and I love watching Strictly, I think it is a feel-good show. I like to keep up with current affairs.
I love the Med, the sun, the lifestyle, the food, the markets. I have recently acquired my own place in Mallorca and now dividing my time between there and the UK and would love to do that with that special woman. It would definitely help if she does speak some Spanish.
I grew up in The Netherlands .Since then I have lived and worked in Hong Kong, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa and Belgium. Widely travelled and polyglot but now settled already for some time in the UK. I'd like to think that this has given me a cosmopolitan and broadminded outlook on life. Well there you have it, moi in a nutshell.

Sociable and easy to be with. To share the good (and occasionally not so good) things in life. A good (-ish) cook would be a bonus and I'd like to help in the kitchen. I think it is a good sign if two people can work well together in a kitchen. Interested in alternative things, workshops, retreats, meditation etc. An eclectic dress sense. To support and respect each other. To be able to listen to each other in a non-judgmental manner, I know easier said than done. Since I will be spending time in Mallorca it would be very helpful if you speak some Spanish and are available to travel. I would go as far as calling it a sine qua non. I am not a great believer in endless email exchanges, an early phone call or chat over a coffee is more meaningful in my opinion. Ideal woman do you exist? A bit of imperfection is actually quite nice. As a potter I have come to realise that beauty can be in imperfection. Last but not least I find intelligence very sexy.
