In His Own Words
About him
Former recluse looking for intelligent life in Islington or nearby. I am not a 'hunk' or a caveman and don't have lots of status. I love science and SF and my favourite popular writers are Arthur C. Clarke and Carl Sagan. My ideas of fun are chatting over a coffee, going for a walk to look at architecture or nature, reading a good book on science or the humanities, and listening to music of all sorts. I love museums and art galleries though I haven't been for a while. One of the things I get a great deal of satisfaction from is supporting people through difficulties. Sometimes I just like to think. I am focusing on my interest in physics and meeting the people who matter to me in the time that is left to me as there isn't time for everything. Even if my physics leads nowhere it is fun! My budget won't allow lots of travelling. I prefer Shakespeare to Andrew Lloyd Webber though I love music. I love Leonard Cohen's lyric: "There is a crack, a crack in everything That's how the light gets in". It would be nice to have someone to hug and hold hands with, as well as share thoughts with. I like people but not crowds. Is there anyone out there on the same wavelength? :)
About his ideal match
Someone bookish near Holloway/Borough of Islington who has an interest in science or the humanities and a good sense of humour. Someone who - like me - likes chatting and walking but can also appreciate silence and time spent alone, perhaps reading or just thinking. I guess that I am looking for friends and should anything more happen that will be a bonus. I would like someone on the left politically, perhaps Green or LibDem, or an Angela Rayner, or Sadiq Khan supporter. All ethnic groups welcome, also women who have a mental health diagnosis with insight, and neurodivergent women.
PS. I have LGBTQ+ family and friends, so no one who is phobic please - thank you.
