If you're looking amongst other things for peace and quiet.... down at the lake on those autumn days (all blues and golds, green and grey) you might hear asp leaves rattling in the otherwise indiscernible breeze, or the splash of an osprey taking a fish. A 20 min yoga pass can easily take half the day, or all of it.
In the house you won't even hear the fridge anymore, it made so much noise... On the other hand nobody'll mind if you play whatever you want, as loud as you like, no neighbours to complain. If you prefer a book I'll make the food and do the washing up for a whole week if you don't find at least a dozen you want to read. (and there's always Amazon - broadband has invaded this bee-loud glade - to mixed feelings, but it's handy for airline tickets) If yr a cineast like me there's a projector but no tv, The garden is a productive wilderness, the forest endless. The coast with a thousand islands just down the road.
The catch is, the beat poet turned fisherman turned yuppie chelseaite newsman turned hebridean hobo fisherman anarchist academic with an adiction to alliteration. A lover of the metaphysical poets, great cities, storms at sea, and love itself.
