About him
Ok - so I'm 78! But I like to think a presentable, untypical 78 year old, who might pass for say, 60's or so, maybe less on a foggy day! Youthful outlook on life and reasonably fit and healthy. Widow(er)ed a few years ago and positively normal. Friends have said well kept and attractive (they would wouldn't they?) but I'm far too modest to repeat it on here! I have a wide range of interests but am obsessive about few. Particularly like, good food and wine (that said, Moules Frites and a glass of decent Muscadet in a harbourside cafe, preferably somewhere in France, could be close to my idea of heaven.), socialising with friends, kicking up leaves, country and seaside ambles, Motorsport, especially vintage/classic, motoring/touring especially abroad. I also enjoy riding (not hunting!), shooting (clays only), fly fishing, skiing, NT, countryside shows. I have a day skipper ticket and if I dare say, good at DIY!
Whilst I might hesitate to describe myself as a culture vulture, my tastes and interests are pretty eclectic (I can tell the difference between a Puligny and a Pouilly!) and I have a fair idea of which knife and fork to use and I know which end of a frying pan to hold!
Can dress up or down but DJ and tux possibly a bit dated now, (but at least they still fit ....well - mostly!), but more at home in smart casuals, jeans or maybe even overalls which are bang up to date!
Very honest, - perhaps sometimes a little too honest. Compassionate, loving, totally faithful, generous of spirit (I like to think), empathetic and a well-developed SOH! Happy to find the compromise and maybe something of an old fashioned romantic at heart. Companionship initially but really hoping for a long term relationship, which, if we are lucky enough, I would hope might develop further with a genuine and sincere lady, who may like to share at least some of my interests, as well as enjoy her own, of course.

Someone to relight my fire! Attractive, able to converse, wide interests or at least willing to try most things life has to offer. Willing to compromise, enjoy socialising with friends, as well as evenings alone together, as perhaps in reality, that is where much of the future might be eventually spent! Hopefully happy in wellies as well as the occasional posh frock! Sincerity and honesty are not negotiable
