About him
I'm based in Northants but also travel around the region (Beds, Bucks and Lincs mainly) for my job - science-based but fairy practical - which I enjoy but isn't all-consuming. Outside work, although I have learned the joys of just pottering around the house and garden at the weekend, I'm an active person at heart with my favourite pastime being walking. I try and get somewhere hilly every few weekends, and more local walks where I can - as a member of a local walking group. I go away on small group holidays every so often, which is great for seeing new countries and also meeting interesting people. Although I've had to curtail the more adventurous trips recently for family reasons, I went to Spain last year and should be walking in Morocco for a week in Jan 18. I have various groups of friends whom I meet up with, but it's getting to the stage where everyone is pairing up, babies appear and it would be nice to make new friends, especially nearby, and if something more happened that would be even better!

What am I looking for? Well for a start I would like to widen my local social circle - although I have made some good friends in the local area, many of my oldest friends are now scattered all over the British Isles. Apart from that, if something more happened that would be great - none of us are getting any younger and although I'm pretty independent and value my own space (and can sometimes be quite shy in unfamiliar circumstances), I would love to have someone to share those special moments with.
