About her
I am a happy easy going lady who enjoys the nicer things in life but is also happy to curl up on the sofa for a quiet night in. I enjoy the normal stuff, walks in the countryside along the beach, cinema , theatre, concerts, eating out. I love to wander around markets preferably some where warm or explore a new city or pretty village. . I play backgammon {I learnt to play when I lived in the Middle East in the 70s} I enjoy Pilates and I'm trying to be a healthier me but I'm not a gym fan.. I have lived and worked in a number of countries Italy, Bahrain, Dubai, Hong Kong and most recently in Luxembourg. Many years ago I was an Air Hostess or cabin crew as its called these days and got to see a number of places that I wouldn't pay to go and visit but also some beautiful spots I'd return to again and again. I enjoy meeting new people as well as getting together with family and old friends.
My musical tastes are varied any thing from. Blues to Opera. really quite an eclectic range. I love to travel and explore both in the UK and further a field. I am quite spontaneous and I can pack a bag in 5 minutes and head off lol. I'm afraid I'm not into serious hiking I'm more a casual stroll lady, I don't sail unless its on a cruise and I'm hopeless on a bike never had a bike as a child, tried it on my 70th birthday and had the bruises to show for my efforts, so if those are the things that are important to you then I'm probably not the one for you.
I am very much a glass half full lady and believe you can always find a positive even on a bad day. Life is for living and enjoying so if you are prone to moodiness and sulks then we probably wouldn't be a match. The title Luxlady is not because I expect a luxurious life (although it might be nice) but the fact that I lived in Luxembourg for a number of years. The person I would like to meet would be kind caring know his own mind and what he wants in life and would share my passion for travel whether it's weekends away in the UK or travel further a field it would be a bonus if like me he's happy to be spontaneous and do things on the spur of the moment or equally happy to snuggle up at home and watch a good drama on the TV. Hopefully he will have a sense of humour and not take himself too seriously and if I'm lucky he'll even be a little bit of a romantic. A tall order I know but a girls got to hope .
