My passion is traveling, including working / volunteering overseas, particularly Africa, mainly in the health sector, but also with elephants!
Since 'lockdown' I've finally decided to stop working, (which I had been gradually reducing)
A bit of a study junkie, and have more recently done various OU courses, both under grad and post grad, including development management and creative writing, and usually have a FutureLearn course on the go. In the past couple of months I've found a new passion for watercolour painting.
since the easing of lockdown I've been able to resume Granny duties with my small grandsons, who I'd much missed.
I try to keep fit by hillwalking (though the hills I tackle are becoming more gentle) and intermittent bursts of regular gym attendance.
I enjoy going to the theatre, to see plays and dance, and occasionally opera - and am in my element during the Edinburgh festivals.
My music choices are wide - from classical to folk and 60's rock, and various African music.
I speak a little French and Spanish and am trying to improve them through conversation classes.
Most people seem to think I'm much younger than I am - I like to think this is because of both my youthful looks and my outlook on life.
