Sun seeker and city explorer but equally happy with a short trip to the mountains. Two daughters who are independent (one is married and mother to my favourite grandchild) who are both probably keen not to take responsibility for me when I start dribbling, so would love to palm me off to the nearest taker - is that you? Little spare time with a busy schedule of work, hobbies and friends but it would be nice to share things with someone special who wants to travel to foreign climes or even the UK.

You must have a sense of humour and see the funny side of life. I prefer optimism but realism is ok. I'm not looking to rescue anyone so please be prepared for a supportive partnership. In an ideal world you would like cinema, interesting events, good books and good food and especially travel but I'm open to compromise and introductions to new things. You won't get me eating junk food, reading the Daily Mail or playing golf and these are real turn offs as is racism, bigotry and violence. You need to care about people and social injustice. I would like to live abroad again (maybe do VSO work) so you need to be open to change or wait for me to return. However, none of this is set in stone because you never know what life presents to you.
