About her
Healthy in mind and body, dismayed at current capitalism and planetary destruction, I’m physically and politically active. Retired from public and voluntary sector policy development and senior management, I’m an active grandparent, resting XR rebel and busy chair of a local charity and director/volunteer of a community woodland. I’m happiest outdoors in garden, allotment, woodland, or wild camping, cycling and hiking. I’m no good with cold water! I love laughing, dancing, eating, cycling and prefer to be cooked for than to cook. Yoga and Pilates are my regular medicines, small children my allies, non violence my creed. A driver who has never owned a car, I enjoy sharing buses and trains. Well travelled, I am now pledged not to fly nor to buy new as far as possible. My post-pandemic aspirations are de-growth economics, redistribution of wealth, radical social care reforms, low carbon everything and low-traffic neighbourhoods, reinvestment in public services and community projects, agri-ecological farming - the list goes on. In the mean time I’d like someone to cycle, hike and dance with!
