Thanks for looking at my profile... what d'ya mean 'it was a mistake'?
I know who I am. I'm 100% genuine, honest, kind, thoughtful and dependable, with decency and integrity at my core. I'm also unselfish, down-to-earth, playful, intuitive and deeply loyal. Like most people, I hate getting old, but have the consolation of an ever-youthful sensibility and remaining fit, brisk and healthy. By the way, the photo was taken in May '17.
I deplore bad manners, self-importance, pretentiousness and political correctness. On that last point, I like the fact that both sexes derive amusement (bemusement?) from the other's perceived foibles and peculiarities. Wouldn't it be awful if men and women really understood one another?...the mystery and intoxication just couldn't be the same.
I've always liked to express my feelings openly and honestly. Infatuation with the fairer sex has been ever-present all my life, but when I've been in love (twice) it was due to an undeniable chemistry. If that quality seems elusive at first, it's worth allowing a little time for it to reveal itself.
I love being in the countryside, especially the Highlands, feeling the wind in my face, maybe climbing a hill (or two). I love to travel too, and in recent years have visited Tuscany, LA, San Francisco, Berlin, Venice, New York, Rome and the Deep South.
I'm a passionate music lover with an eclectic taste, and am especially knowledgeable about 60s and 70s rock and pop. I love to listen to the incomparable Sinatra, delivering lyrical and emotional themes that have a special resonance. However, rock, rhythm & blues and Americana are my favourite genres.
I like real-life and thought-provoking films with a message. I'm really not a soppy guy, but 'The Bridges of Madison County' never fails to move me and reminds me of the person I am (and always have been).
I'd love to travel to wonderful places with my special girl...hope I make it.

I yearn for the warm, genuine, down-to-earth, exciting woman who will make me happy and give my life real meaning. For me, sexual chemistry is (still) key to the perfect relationship; if there's no spark, there's no connection.
My ideal woman will care about her appearance and not take herself too seriously. She will be intelligent, thoughtful, funny, vivacious and love good conversation, yet be comfortable with quiet reflection.
