I retired three years ago and since then I have been spending time with my family, particularly my daughter and her children. Other members of the family live close by although I don't tend to see much of them as they have busy lives
It would be a bonus to meet someone for a bit of companionship but I have to say that I am not at all exactly pining. A travelling mate would be ideal and we could go and explore the world together.
These dating sites testify to the fact that there are lots of people in a similar situation, yet it seems so difficult to meet these people in everyday life.....probably because they're window shopping in front of computer screens. To be truthful I find this pretty frustrating; I'd rather be in company or doing something more meaningful. Ah well I suppose this is merely a means to an end; if Mr Right appears and whisks me off on some adventure then it will all have been worthwhile!

A man with a sense of fun and adventure. He needs to be totally honest and reliable, the proverbial rock for his partner. A few practical skills wouldn't go amiss either! I enjoy gardening but it would be more fun with a companion and helpmate around; ie I could do the planning and design, and he could do the spadework! And it would be nice to try out someone else's cooking besides my own for a change.
I've been trying to learn Polish for a few years now and would love to go to Poland more again, and other places too. I am open to new ideas and would love some fresh inspiration.
