I lead a pretty simple life and have room in it for more social activity than at the moment.
I've taken to cycling in Norway in a way I didn't think I would. I'd done a lot in the Netherlands when I lived there, and thought that my CV system would just up and leave at the sight of the hills here, but so far it's been okay. So, I reckon if you are into cycling I can probably be a companion for that at least. Just know that I am not that used to cycling with others and do have a competitive streak...
I am a scientist and so I ask questions a lot, but don't worry, it's just how I interact with the world. Just move the subject on if I get boring :) I am in the second half of the post-doctoral period of my career, so working a lot is par for the course, but it's not the end of the world and doesn't stop me from doing other things.

My ideal match...ufff. How to answer this without sounding like a knob?
I like a woman I can talk to. Tall is nice, but relative so no one should get hung up on that. I don't insist on shared interests, though one or two would give us more to talk about, and perhaps something to do together that isn't a shopping list or where the keys/post office/rubber chicken are.
So you don't have to stab iun teh dark with your interests, I studied music as a teenager (piano, composition), rode horses throughout University and until a year or so ago (stopped due to lack of organisation), used to play badminton and currently play squash twice a week. Open to other ideas though :)
