About him
Having trained as a musician I'm pretty passionate about all kinds of things artistic whether it be music, art, theatre or dance. I love any chance to perform any kind of music. I also love good drama on film and TV. Love to get to the cinema or theatre whenever possible. I'm a bit of an animal lover housing three cats and a number of aquariums. I enjoy eating out or cooking for others when the opportunity arises and spending time with friends. I enjoy long walks followed by a visit to the pub with friends also. I've recently got into trying to be fitter and try to do some exercise on a daily basis, usually on my exercise bike.
I enjoy cooking, going to the cinema and theatre, watching good TV Dramas, having a drink with friends and anything that gives the chance to listen to or play music. I also enjoy walking in the countryside, particularly near the coast. Slightly geeky but I enjoy collecting and breeding tropical fish. Love taking my daughter out on visits to zoos, parks and everything in between.
I'm very caring and considerate, am always keen to support and listen to others. I will always be a good, reliable friend and partner. I always try to be very positive and make the best of any situations or opportunities that come my way. Life has taught me that I have much to be grateful for. I try to take every day as an opportunity to make my life better and that of those around me.
Through life's events, I find my self ready and wanting to build a new relationship with someone special. I have no desire to mess anybody about or give false impressions. Long term, I really do want to meet a life partner that I can love, trust and respect as much as they do me. I'm really not a totally serious character and really do want to meet someone special to have fun with and be happy with long term. I appreciate this takes time, shouldn't be rushed and am happy to be patient in finding someone who is as right for me as I am for them.
About his ideal match
Someone who is patient, caring and a good communicator. I'm primarily interested in meeting someone who is equally interested in building a new friendship, and, if the chemistry seems to be there, eventually, a long term relationship. Someone who shares some of my interests and passions would be good but am equally open minded to the concept of "opposites can attract."
Whilst having trained as a musician and a performer (mainly piano) and teaching music for a career now, I don't get the chance to get out and do much music stuff myself at the moment. It would be nice to meet someone who might have an interest in doing this with me. This along the usual fun stuff like going to the theatre and cinema, going out for meals, long romantic walks together etc.
I recognise that the right person for anyone can come along in all shapes and sizes. I think through life's experience I have come to learn that meeting the right person will just "feel right." For me, it is important that anyone I meet is interested in making the effort to find time to regularly spend time together in order to get to know, understand and trust one another.
I don't necessarily hope, or expect, my ideal partner to be a musician, teacher or parent themselves. I believe that when two people are really right for each other, yes whilst being attracted to one another matters to a degree, a meeting of minds and values is much more important in the long term.
